Nuestra historia

La sala caliente de un complejo construido para la hija del sultán

Mihrimah Sultan era hija de Solimán el Magnífico y de Hürrem Sultan. Al encargar el complejo de Edirnekapı a Mimar Sinan, no buscaba solo una mezquita, sino un centro de vida diaria: madrasa, escuela, mercado y hammam.

Al tumbarte hoy sobre el mármol caliente, descansas bajo la luz que atraviesa la misma cúpula desde hace más de cuatrocientos cincuenta años. Mármol, vapor y silencio siguen haciendo su trabajo.

La experiencia

¿Cómo es un hammam? Cuatro pasos

Vestuario

Recibes tu peştamal, te cambias en una cabina y empiezas a adaptarte al calor.

La piedra central

De 15 a 20 minutos sudando sobre el mármol caliente abren los poros.

Exfoliación y espuma

El tellak retira la piel muerta con el guante kese y sigue con un masaje de espuma de jabón de oliva.

04

Descanso

Agua fría, secado y descanso con un vaso de té.

No, puedes venir directamente. Las tardes y los fines de semana hay más gente: un mensaje por WhatsApp reduce la espera.

¿Hombres y mujeres se bañan juntos?+

No. Las secciones de hombres y mujeres están completamente separadas; en la de mujeres atiende personal femenino.

¿Qué debo llevar?+

Peştamal, toalla y chanclas están incluidos. Trae bikini o bañador si lo prefieres, y ropa interior de recambio.

¿Cuánto dura?+

El paquete Tradicional dura unos 60–75 minutos y el Paquete Mihrimah Sultan 100–120 minutos. El descanso posterior es ilimitado.

¿Puedo ir con niños?+

Sí. Los niños pequeños pueden entrar con un adulto; recomendamos visitas cortas por el calor.

¿Cómo llego?+

Edirnekapı, Fevzi Paşa Caddesi n.º 33 — junto a la línea de tranvía T4 y los autobuses; unos 15 minutos en taxi desde Santa Sofía.
